Not content to let Dutch primates score all the simian glory this week, Taiwan ups the ante.

“Little Blackie”, a 19-year-old orangutan escaped today and rampaged througout a Taipei entertainment park.

No one was hurt but Little Blackie made a concerted effort to turn upside-down as many ice boxes, motor scooters and garbage cans as possible till she was stun-gunned and recaptured.

Personally, I’m enjoying this spate of primate Houdinis going for all the gusto they can grab and I’m looking forward to some mandrill or bonobo escapes very soon!

Perhaps a baboon can make a break and terrorize a gummi-bear factory.

We can only hope.
